Punctuality is a very important word in a Truckers Dictionary. Once I heard a 15 years experienced Truck Driver say “I’m a little trucker and trucking’ is what I do best. It’s what I want to do with my life, and that’s how I’ll be. Driving down the highway, carrying what someone will eat or need tomorrow makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.”

The Federal Heavy Vehicle Use Tax return filed on Form 2290 is due this August 31st and yes, it is today the last date to report HVUT Form 2290. You have less than 24hrs to report it with the IRS to avoid late penalties and audits.
Form 2290 – Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Return
Form 2290 and Schedule 1 copy mush be reported for the tax period July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 and it is due on August 31st, 2015.
Form 2290 must be filed for the month the taxable vehicle is first used on public highways during the current period. Anyone who registers a heavy highway motor vehicle with a taxable gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more must file Form 2290 Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Return. Continue reading
