Form 2290 – Heavy Vehicle Use Tax Return
Form 2290 and Schedule 1 copy mush be reported for the tax period July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 and it is due on August 31st, 2015.
Form 2290 must be filed for the month the taxable vehicle is first used on public highways during the current period. Anyone who registers a heavy highway motor vehicle with a taxable gross weight of 55,000 pounds or more must file Form 2290 Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Return.
Schedule-1 proof for payment will be return with the IRS e-file watermark as a token of 2290 tax paid in full and for the tax period. This Schedule -1 proof will be accepted across all the DMVs, DOTs and state authorities to register the vehicle, renew vehicle license plats and vehicle tags.

Truckers must e-file your Form 2290 if you are filing for 25 or more vehicles, but we encourage e-filing for anyone required to file Form 2290 and who wants to receive quick delivery of their watermarked Schedule 1.
