Life is always a matter of waiting for the right moment to act – Paulo Coelho

Waiting for the Right time is always a good choice but waiting till the Last moment and missing out on great opportunity is a real bad thing to do. Also Waiting should not end up in procrastinating the Deadline, something that has to be done in a stipulated time has to be done within the Time Frame. Truckers and Folks in Trucking Industry are known for doing things in right time and they are the best when it comes to pouncing on the Opportunity.

What’s Your Choice, E-filing Taxes On-time or Penalties?

Every Action has an Equal and Opposite Reaction – Isaac Newton

Anything that we do will have its repercussion, but whether it will be good one or bad one depends on our Actions. Most of the times even if we delay or be late on things that we have to do will cost us big. One Such thing is Filing or Paying Taxes late or after the deadline. What most of us do is try to file our taxes right on the day it is due, this thought is very common because we all would love to hold on to our hard-earned money as long as possible.

But remember you are not the only person with this thought there are millions wanting to do the same. Tax Experts suggest that it is not a healthy practice. Truckers who are known for being there or doing things on time would not love to be late since it is going to cost a lot of their Money. We are here to discuss about the Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) Form 2290, which is Due by the End of the Month which is August 31st. Your previous Stamped receipt from the IRS i.e. your Schedule 1 Copy would have expired by the end of June, which also means you are currently operating with an Expired Stamped Schedule 1 copy if you have not filed a return for tax Year 2018 – 2019 yet. “Eighty thousand pounds of muscle, blood, and steel in a pile. It’s spectacular.” — Gary Williams

That is how every Trucker describes his vehicle. Time is an important factor in any individual’s life but for a trucker it’s his/her bread and butter. They can never be late, they can be early though. Most of the things truckers do are time bound; one such important thing is filing their Taxes.

Though truckers file numerous taxes, they still tend to miss out on things that they do once a year. That is mainly because the tax that we are discussing is not the Personal income tax or Business Income tax that deadline that is common for everyone. The Tax that we are discussing about is the federal Heavy vehicle use Tax Form 2290 (HVUT). This tax is filed only once a year in the months of July and August, this deadline falls right in the middle of the year. Continue reading

Time to E-file Form 2290 for 2018 – 2019!

“Death, taxes and childbirth! There’s never any convenient time for any of them.”

True that. All three come at the most inconvenient times, But the Government does a favor by letting us know about the deadline to file our Taxes. Information is wealth, definitely right but if we do not act on time to known information then it is useless.

Good intentions often get muddled with very complex execution. The last time the government tried to make taxes easier; it created a 1040 EZ form with a 52-page help booklet, funny isn’t it? Trucking is one of the busiest industries that need almost every employee working round the clock. A Trucker on an average spends 75% of his entire life on the road, away from his/her family. They are determined to make timely deliveries, keep their vehicle fit & fine and so many other things to take care of. Continue reading
