American Trucking Associations and America’s Road Team Captains are urging motorists to take care on the roads this Independence Day holiday weekend.
Approximately 35 million Americans will travel on our nation’s highways between July 2 and July 6 for Independence Day festivities, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA). Driving alongside them will be truckers hauling explosive fireworks to their destinations in time for Friday’s celebrations.
“June is National Safety Month, but just because the month is ending, doesn’t mean that safety can be ignored,” said America’s Road Team Captain. He further added “Whether it is allowing extra following distance, putting down cellphones, buckling up or making sure you never drive impaired, safety is my highest priority on the road and it should be yours as well.”
